Melting Pot Theory- The melting pot is a metaphor for the way in which diverse societies become more unified, in which the ingredients in the pot represent people of different cultures, races and religions are combined so as to develop a multi-ethnic society.
Salad Bowl Theory- is a metaphor for immigration and people coming together, but still having their own distinct differences and not fully merged just because their in the same place. They never fully unify.
